Scherzo is a magazine founded in 1985. It is a reference magazine in classical music and opera in Spain. It publishes eleven annual issues with reviews of concerts and operas, records, books, biographies and profiles of performers and composers, sections on different types of music such as jazz, and a dossier on topics of special relevance. It is a magazine with great technical and scientific rigor but adapted for both the professional and non-specialized public. It also has foreign correspondents who complete its programming and a large number of subscribers in several countries. Scherzo is the only Spanish member who is part of the jury of the International Classical Music Awards.
"FSO makes culture" and it's not us who say it, but the great music magazine Scherzo
"FSO: Making culture" is the title of the specialized music magazine Scherzo. In his review of #FSOTour, David Rodríguez Cerdán, critic of the magazine, recognizes the work of FSO in the concert we offered last October 19 at the National Auditorium in Madrid. A concert full of emotions and full of people, because once again we sold out all the tickets.
Scherzo's critic was amazed by the atmosphere generated at our concerts, because anyone can't make it until 2 am dancing to the Star Wars soundtrack. "We wanted more, it was difficult," he says in the review, adding that he expectantly awaits the premiere of program II with the second batch of hits by John Williams.
Seeing the children revolutionized beyond midnight is one of the things that most impacted David Rodríguez, but as he says, this orchestra is "pure magic" and he values the work that FSO does for them, since it gives them brings them closer to music and may generate in them a desire to know. «Martínez-Orts and the FSO do more than first-class film music. They are creating an audience. "They are educating," he assures, because filling auditoriums today is not an easy task.
