He is one of the great masters of soundtracks who has had a notable influence on FSO. For us it has been and will be a source of inspiration and a reference.
Ennio Morricone began composing at the age of 6 and at the age of 12 he entered the conservatory. The Italian composer has composed the soundtracks for more than 500 films and series. He has two Oscars, the first, honorary in 2006, the second, ten years later. for best soundtrack for 'The Hateful Eight' by Quentin Tarantino. By the way, a topic that at FSO we could not avoid interpreting.
Among others, his work in spaghetti western films stands out, with the help of his friend Sergio Leone, such as 'A Fistful of Dollars' from 1964, 'Death Had a Price' from 1965, 'The Good, the Bad and the ugly' from 1966 or 'Until his time came' from 1968.
Some of his compositions are considered authentic masterpieces such as 'Days of Heaven', 'The Mission' or 'Cinema Paradiso'. For FSO he is a reference and throughout his concerts and before dedicating a tour to John Williams we have performed some of his songs.
